Soi 24 is one of the poshest streets in Phrom Phong and its unbeatable location makes it one of the most sought after residential areas in Bangkok city. Not only is the entrance to this soi located between two BTS staircases leading to BTS Phrom Phong, it’s flanked by the Emporium Shopping mall, and the upscale Em Quartier Mall is right opposite the soi. Residents also have easy access to Phrom Phong and the attractions of Sukhumvit road on one end and Rama IV on the other. Aside of luxury hotels and restaurants, this road has quite a few unique attractions such as the Theta Float Center, the Yunomori Onsen and indoor surfing at the Flowhouse.

Very popular with expats for its comparatively quiet residential feel, this soi has a number of stylish properties for rent and sale. For instance, The Lumpini 24 condominium built by the LPN company stands out for its high-end design. The average rental at Lumpini 24 is around 1000 Baht/sqm and it offers compact units, with top-end facilities. Those seeking bigger units can consider the sprawling President Park complex; while this building is older, it still offers plenty of excellent facilities and is ideal for anyone wanting to buy a unit (average price 75,000 Baht/sq m) and (optionally) renovate it to their liking. For spacious and modern duplex units, Bright Sukhumvit 24 hits all the right notes, but expect to pay accordingly for both the space and the location.

With respect to rental property, Baan siri 24 with its Roman-shaped swimming pool and trellis-lined sundeck, is worthy of mention. It has one, two and three-bedroom units ranging from 56 to 145 sq m, and penthouses that range upwards from 267 sq m. Moreover, the Phrom Phong BTS Station and the Emporium shopping mall are a short walk away.

Location Highlights

Regardless of where residents choose to live down Soi 24 they’ll be close to the city’s top bistros, pubs, hospitals, schools and shopping. The Emporium Shopping Mall is home to many fashionable boutique stores, home ware and electronic stores; its food court in particular offers wonderful views of the Benjasiri park nearby. The Emprive Cine Club located in the top floor offers a glamorous movie watching experience. There’s more designer brands to be found at the luxurious EmQuartier mall. One of the highlights of this mall is its beautiful atrium garden and an immense spiral walkway that’s lined with many top restaurants and cafes.

With respect to location, this soi is extremely central. Some cool restaurants in this soi include the Nadimos Lebanese Restaurant, the La Piazza Italian Restaurant,  Bibimbab Korean restaurant; don’t miss the Scandinavian food at the Admiral pub. Benjasiri park is just a 2 minute walk away from the soi’s entrance and there’s plenty of entertainment for families at the Dinosaur Planet, just past the park. FlowHouse located in the A Square complex at the end of the soi, offers some pretty cool indoor surfing on a simulated wave surfing machine; it’s the place to head to if you want to try bodyboarding and stand-up surfing within the city or hang out at a surf bar.

Relaxation Options

Soi 24 also has some outstanding relaxation options. For a totally rejuvenating experience, try the public baths at Yunomori Onsen; clients can soak away their cares in a series of  salt-filled or jet-equipped or ice cold baths and more. Check out the Asia Herb Association for a relaxing massage; they also offer private VIP rooms with herbal steam. For futuristic funky relaxation, and the chance to float in floatation pods head over to the Theta Float Center – you’ll have the chance to float and detoxify in soundproof pods containing 600 kgs of Epsom salt as your brain enters a meditative Theta state.
